This weekend, I am a bachelorette, as my significant other has headed east to visit the family. I did go to a house party (Thanks Tiffers!), but since I am old and 30 now, I also stayed home and organized. If you don't know me very well...organizing doesn't mean cleaning and paying bills (which needs to be done), it means that I got crafty with my paper and scissors and my bff, glitter!
I like to think that I am an expert when it comes to paper crafting. Toot Toot (my horn - hahaha). Well, maybe not an expert, but I am no beginner...hence, I should have known better.
So, I had this idea for some more organization within my "organizing". I pulled this old shelf out of the closet, cleaned it up and hung it in my Craft Room (ha - the kitchen) to put some little embellishments on, etc. I had some glitter (in its glitter tray...just not put away back in it's little baggie) sitting on the shelf while I was "organizing" something else. I was not using glitter for this project, it was left out from another project. Violation of Rule #1...put things back where you found them and the world of paper crafting will be harmonious.
Well, now that some important things on sitting on my newly hung shelf and have easy access, I remember to use them...like Stickles, aka glitter glue. As I am reaching for the dark blue Stickles, my arm bumps the tray of glitter and sends it flying. The air, sticker binder, open drawers in my storage tower, Honey, chair, table and self are all covered in glitter. A super fine iridescent glitter, that is Oh so pretty!
About an hours worth of cleanup was dedicated to a 1 second accident. Allison, I know you can appreciate the frustration in that! I have no one to blame, but myself...and I didn't even use the damn Stickles...wrong color.
Here is Honey, helping me organize ribbon that I got from a co-worker.
Yesterday, before Chi took off for Beantown, we went to Southwest Airlines Chili Cookoff at the Shadow Creek Ranch. It was a gorgeous day for it too, about mid 80's yesterday...and of course, I got burnt. Even if I wore a sombrero, the sun would find me. Here are just a few pics from it.
Yesterday was also Mia and Grace's 4th Birthday! My little sweeties are getting so big!
Mia is such a tomboy, she loves Spiderman and Woody from Toy Story.
Grace is a girly-girl, she loves all the princesses and follows in Hannah's every footstep.
