My friend Tiffany and I ran the Tour des Fleurs 10k in the morning at White Rock Lake. I miss running at the lake and it was such a beautiful morning! My time was not a personal best by all means, but I got out there and that's what matters (so I tell myself). I love the Dallas Arboretum and we could have stayed and played but there was much to do...We did go through the booths and get all the great free samples, and food and yes, even beer - because why not cool off with a nice cold brew at 9am and 6 miles under your belt? I had big plans for the afternoon, came home and c.r.a.s.h.e.d - hard, I slept for 4 glorious hrs:)
Honey was tired too...
Then it was off to the Plano Balloon Festival...I went in 2005 and decided to volunteer this year (so I could get all the freebies: free parking, admission and a lovely neon yellow tshirt). My job was "crowd management" and all I did was stand on the launch site with the press and take my own pics:)
And the night wrapped up with Oktoberfest in Addison, more beer:)
