I realized that I have been MIA on my blogging, but it's for good reason.
I was house-sitting for my parents while they were on vacation. Nothing exciting happened, until...the last day, the sewer backed up into the basement and made an enormous mess. Parents were already on the plane and couldn't reach them, so the neighbors came to my rescue. What. A. Mess!! I told Karen that if I saw a turd, I was out of there!!! Thankfully, there was nothing of that sort floating around. Clean up has been completed, but the re-organizing and putting everything back together with new carpet and some new furniture pieces is an ongoing debacle.
Then, a job offer was made and I started on the 22nd. I am delighted to have income again! I've been working hard on "no spending"...which is very hard BTW!! I knew that I would be taking a pay cut from Dallas to Bis, but I wasn't really comprehending how much of a cut. Until now. Wow. However, I think that I am very wealthy in family, friends, laughter, smiles, things to do, people who want to see me...etc. So that more than makes up for that other half of money:)
I stayed with Amy and Eden for the first part of week 1 and then Chi came to town and we headed to the parents. And then I was sick (and I still am!). Sick for my birthday, horrible way to spend a great day. Chi was more than happy to veg out with me, he's been working like crazy so he needed some R&R too. My parents took us out to eat at Riverdale High Lodge, very cool! The Whiskey Sirloin Steak is amazing! We went out with a great group of friends Friday night and has a blast. These ladies are the best!!
My mom forced me to go to the Dr on Sunday. Diagnosis - severe sinus infection. Severe because the pressure was so intense that it hurt to move my eyeballs from right to left! Ugh!
Stayed with Amy and Eden again for the first part of week 2 and then Shalene the 2nd half. It is so fun to spend all this quality time with my friends! Lots of lunch and dinner dates:)
Last night I went to Hannah's school performance in "The Principal and the Pea" and it was too, too cute:) She was really excited and got all dolled up for it.
This weekend I am going to sleep and veg out to my max capacity. Can't wait for 4pm!
